Already known for offering some of the best Yooperlite Hunting UV flashlights on the market, Midnight Minerals now offers you the first Actively Cooled UV Flashlight. We call this project codename AURORA. Our next-generation UV flashlight packs a punch with FOUR high power 365nm UV LEDs, each independently focused with a polished aluminum reflector and UV bandpass filter. This beam configuration drives a longer distance while being fairly wide, illuminating a greater area than any other UV flashlight we have ever seen. Our quiet brushless thermal management system pulls in cool air and then exhausts out the sides of the flashlight head to let the LEDs run cooler than any other light on the market. We have you covered with repairability as well. We designed this to be customer repairable, where possible. LEDs modules are attached with connectors to allow for customer replacement.
Two power modes, half-click the power button changes between 100% power to 50% power and back. Full button click on/off. Power on returns to full power setting directly.
On the bottom of the flashlight head, we have a 3/8"-16 thread with a 1/4"-20 adapter to let you mount this light directly on a tripod for hands-free operation when photographing minerals or inspecting rocks. Alternatively, you can mount varous small camera mounting accessories to attach your cell phone or an action camera like a GoPro or an Insta360 to your light to capture your quest for glowing minerals. The Aurora is effective for shopping at mineral shows as well. Great for Fluorite, ManganoCalcite, Sodalite, Wernerite, Sphalerite, Willemite. Hunt for Uranium Glass like a boss at thrift stores or antique malls.

* May 6, 2023 Photos taken around 3pm on a sunny day. Fluorescent Mineral photos are taken outside, just not in direct sunlight. I will update photos over time. I have not had time to get night time fluorescence photos as of today. For now, showing this light's performance with fluorescent minerals in my back yard well before night fall would be a good first demonstration of it's UV output power.
